Yes....details are slow in coming. As with anything, you first have to crawl before you walk, and the walk before you run.
Many of the questions people have about the 'Nationals' are concerning issues/events that would be the last thing to plan. Can't put the cart before the horse.
Just to find a SITE that will accomadate the participants was a concern and if you think about it, you can't plan ANYTHING else until that is set in stone.
Yes, it's a slow process but I have faith in those that have accepted the challenge and are working hard, behind the scenes, to pull this off.
As for those on the 'coasts', yes it's a difficult drive and not many may be able to attend due to the distance, but what would YOU suggest? Any further west and the entire east coast and even possibly the midwest would be left out. Same goes if it's any further EAST, then the west coast and mountain regions are going to feel slighted. There's no easy solution for a SINGLE 'Nationals Event'.
Maybe next year we can organize TWO events: One East of the Mississippi and one West. If anyone cares to attend BOTH, then more power to them.
