1st song played

I have often day dreamed of what is the first song I will play as I drive out of the dealership in my smart. It will probably be the star wars intro fanfair with the windows rolled down! What was yours?

Too many things to learn at once, too much scared of the car being hit, I paid all my attention to driving away. Then, after about 5 miles, I parked in front of the Air & Space Museum, and started to read the owner's manual, paying more attention to the folks looking at the car than at what I was reading...
No music until day 2 or 3, though.

yeah, what he said. 10 miles on a dark, rainy night in manhattan traffic had my attention.

oh, and I don't have a radio ;-) so 6 months later still no tunes...

We plugged in our iPod and set it to our Beat playlist -- Squirrel Nut Zippers, Cherry Poppin Daddies, and The Naughty Ones. I don't remember the specific song that played first.

While a theme song might have been fun, I agree with the folks who wanted to just concentrate on the car and driving. Other than testing out the stereo to make sure it worked, I didn't turn it on until day 3.

Same for me, I waited till I was on the freeway before I played music. I've heard of horror stories where people total their car miles from the dealership.

I was with the majority here. Picked my car up in Atlanta, a large city I am not familiar with. I didn't get around to music until I was out of the city.

That's easy for when I picked up my orphan last April - - - - it was Chuck Berry - "No particular place to go"

Aria by Yanni here. My inspirational music that used to link my fond memories back to reading Lord of the Rings in college...
