An additional note about the iPod hookup: the connection is made with an 1/8" mini jack cable. Each end of the cable will need an 1/8" mini plug. It looks exactly like the plug from your iPod headphones. There is, unfortunately, no direct hookup to
control the iPod--a feature sorely lacking this many years after the iPod was introduced, especially since something like 130 million have been sold. And given there's no control of the iPod, the glove box is the lamest place to put the connection. I drive with the box open just so I can get to it to skip songs. I use an
AirClick (which is now unfortunately discontinued) on my motorcycle, which allows non-line-of-sight remote control. I guess I'll have to start using that in the car, too. It wouldn't be so bad if the connection was from the
front of the radio. Then I'd just get a charger/dock to plug into the 12V adapter. I may do that and run the cable out the side of the glove box. Just posting this info as half-complaint and half info for others in the same situation.
