Today's NY Times has an article about this year's Bullrun, a seven-day 2925-mile rally around the western US with 50 exotic cars, 5-star hotels, lots of partying, and careful observance of the speed limit (wink, wink). Cost to participants was $20K, but those 5-star hotels ain't cheap. The article is at

But what caught my attention was this:
"There was the quiet reformer, Matt Weekly, a cardiologist from Colorado following the others across the most punishing terrain in his Smart Car."
Unfortunately, I couldn't find much else about Matt or photos of his car. I saw he did get the green (as in the environment) award at the end of the race, but that was about it.
Anyway, Matt, you da man! Anyone who drives 3K miles in 7 days in a Smart is OK in my book. Maybe a little nuts, but OK...
