2nd Annual Niagara Falls Foliage Tour 10/17/09

All six carloads of us had a fun last year so we'll do it again.
It'll be a couple weeks later so maybe I'll hit the weekend with the colorful leaves this time.

Time: October 17, 2009 at 10am
Location: Lewiston Landing Park

I propose we meet Saturday 10/17/09 in the AM (10ish) on the US side in Lewiston, hang around and visit, then go along the river to the lake @ Fort Niagara, then up the escarpment to the upper Rapids and to the Falls. We should be done by 1 PM. That'd leave lots of time for more visiting and the rest of the weekend to spend on your own or in new-found groups. Perhaps ride the train around the Falls, Maid of the Mist, Rapids Boat Ride? Suggestions?

I had lived not far from Niagara Falls in Hamburg NY. Winter is beautiful there at the falls. The water froze on every thing and looked like crystal that glittered in the sun.

If I lived closer, I would definitely go.

It's about a 9 hour drive for us, so I would have to take Friday off and I'm about out of vacation days.

Mostly to know if we need to wait.
We don't want to wait for a no-show,
but we don't want to leave if you're 5 min. away either.

The route is posted in the '08 thread and we'll (mostly) follow it.
Just in case you are left behind or lost.
