Steven,

There is nothing consistent about the ticks. I got about 50 miles on my first tick, then another 50 on the second two ticks today. The last tick hardly takes you anywhere at all. Are your eights consistent?

My first 'tick' happens at about 64 miles, the subsequent ones happen much quicker. Need to start keeping a chart.

I have hit 300 a few times. Usually end up tanking up before that since I get a sadistic enjoyment out of pulling up to the pumps after the SUVs and trucks, yet still finishing and leaving before they finish.

Yeah I get the most miles out of the first bar. All the others I get less. I am at have a tank and have over 150 miles. I try to make 300 this time before I fill up. Still have that problem of doing 70 - 75 mph on the highway to stay up with traffic.

I got 310.7 last night on my fill up - and still had 1.0 gal left!

I got 42.45 MPG on that tank.

I agree the ticks are inconsistent. I'v oetten about 55 miles the first tick and then it drops from there. I don't have to much history because I've only filled the tank twice, first tank was 38 MPG and 2nd tank was 37 MPG. Not sure what I did different other than not keeping my freeway speed at 65. It's hard to keep it low when everyone is whipping by you at 75.

Most of my driving is around town, stop and go traffic. Very little freeway so I'm sure that is impacting my mileage.

Buy a ScanGauge, then you'll have that and much more.

While I don't normally stretch out my tank usage I saw the thread and thought what the hey! Filled this AM after 304 miles. Took 7.7 Gals giving me 39.5 MPG. This was on mixed highway and city driving, speeds up to 80MPH and AC about 40% of the time.
