$300 worth of groceries

We made a long-needed trip to the grocery store today and picked up $300 worth of groceries and beverages. We got every last item in the back of Dory! Here's the proof -- others in the parking lot were laughing as Eric used his iPhone to take the picture!

It's the darn cats that throw you over the limit. I'm sure you're going to get comments about the two boxes but not from me.

We load ours up the same way when we go shopping, whenever the baggers take the grocery to the car they always say, "Now I understand why you told me to pack efficiently". I always tell them they need to pack everything into 9 recyclable cloth tree hugger bags I supply them with.

YOU JUST MADE ME REMEMBER Wdhitch!

Janet -
remember to look under the glovebox in front of where the passenger's feet go. There is a really BIG shelf under there you can place MORE stuff, my wife puts her purse there when we go on trips, my parents dog sometimes crawls up there on trips, I keep those 9 recyclable cloth grocery bags there all the time. It's a great BIG hidden storage space.

Yep, that's two cases of St. Pauli Girl NON-ALCOHOLIC brew. Eric doesn't drink, and I rarely do, but we both enjoy the taste of the NA "beer". We actually didn't buy that at our grocery store -- they only carry O'drools. (bleah). Our local liquor store special orders it for us by the case.

Getting everything to fit was like playing grocery Tetris!

But you're right about how little $300 buys these days. I remember complaining when a full paper grocery bag was $20! (OK, I'm aging myself now....)

Thanks for the photo - sorta makes the blind spot caused by the seat backs immaterial when it's loaded like that.
