$4200 for Smart take-offs???

I have a Pure....so I just wondered what a set of Passion alloy take-offs (used wheels) would run. So I looked on the online auction place...one set..$4200! is that the going rate?!? Aftermarket would be cheaper! Why so much for used wheels off a $16,000 car???

If you want to buy it in pieces then I have a front tire, wheel, TPS for sale for a fraction of this from my Passion. A few of us are keeping a front for a spare and putting four of the same size as the rears on. I bought the pair of new rear rims for a little over $600, a pair of TPS units for slightly over $150 and Tire Rack sells the OE tires for about $79 each. That would mean about $1800-1900 for a whole new set of everything - YES - $4,200 is a rip. Private message me if you want a low mileage front assembly or a rear tire.

The dealers have a set of 4 wheels specifically for this, they are only $899 list price.

Yeah $200 is beyond absurd. Like the man said, wait awhile and let the aftemarket grow. There'll be some great rims out there. Besides, you get those and you'll look like every other fortwo out there.
