The problem was that I was getting close to the GWB (and Manhattan) and didn't have my nice flat h'way driving ahead of me; it was all in my rear-view mirror. Ahead of me were tolls, stop lights, and roads with no shoulder including the bridge! So I didn't have that option, but I'm certainly going to try going sub-zero when the conditions are right -- maybe this or the next tankful.

I run my gas gauge to 0.0 evertime but the most I have ever reached is 100 miles less than you, thats a great range on a tank.

"No, it's 42.57 mpg because the car has a 10 gallon tank. "

Jwight, how can it be a 10 gal tank if people can't get 9 gals in it after they have traveled over 25 miles on empty?

You are implying we can get about 60 miles more after the 0.0 gals shows?

42 mpg would be from gal 9 to 10
and they already have 25 miles on the 0.0 and aren't at the 9 gal needed to fill yet?

Doesn't the manual say Never let the tank run dry? Is this nonsence that we should ignore?
