44k and still happy as the day I bought it

I figured it was time bring out a non-negative thread again. Since we seem to get maybe a dozen or so "this is wrong with my car" threads it is high time to bring up a positive thread again.

This weekend I will turn over 44,000 virtually trouble free miles. I'm still as happy with the car as the day I bought it. I only get maybe a half a dozen or so "Oh I love you car" comments now and the snide ones have dwindled down to one a month or so. The car has been GREAT!

Over the last two years of ownership I have substantially customized/personalized my car so it doesn't blend in with all the other smarts out there.

Not much negative to say from me. I figured it was high time for some positive talk about the car from the get-go and not buried deep in a thread where some random person says they are about to buy one and would like some input. This is for people who have owned their cars for quite a while and are still happy with them, no time limit really defines "quite a while".

I would be curious to know if anyone knows if a smart has made it to 100,000 miles yet?

I could customize my little car so it would not blend in with other Smart cars but I see so few other Smart cars for it to blend in with. It will be neat to see another Fortwo or three on a regular or daily basis.

I had my little car since March 2008 and have enoyed it ever since. I like micro cars and this is the closest one that is street legal.

I'm a little short of your mileage at about 15,000, but I've had mine since July, 08.
I honestly couldn't be happier. This car is much better than I expected, and my expectations were not too low to begin with.
I would buy another without hesitation.

23,000 miles since April 08 and still love my smart. Great little car, and a great conversation piece...still!

My only complaint is we only have one.

I wish we had a second smart in the garage. There is room for it.

I'm at 40k after 27 months and still very happy. Also sill averaging 47-48 mpg on my commute cycle.

27,000 on my Feb '08, 11,000 on my Sept '08. Still look for places to go. My little cocoons, my sanctuary.
