450 VS 451 Whats the diffference? Used search coulnd't find any info

So I know that the 450 is the older model and the 451 is the newer model, but could somebody specify the differences. I.E. side airbags etc...

451 is longer, different transmission, different engine by a different manufacturer, interior and exterior body changes and numerous others

does anyone have pics of both could yah post them side by side or rather one ontop of the other. I'm debating on purchasing new or used. Leaning used. please let me know. New to the community

evolutions website has a guide on all of the changes between the 450 and the 451. Here is the link.

Do lots of research before buying a "used" 450 - it may be difficult (or impossible) to register/insure a 450 in the US. - sheureka

G & K conversions of 450's meet all requirements for registration and insurance. How do you know it's G & K? Look at the odometer for their initials. Also get all the warranty papers for the G & K conversions from the previous owner. Good Luck!

The first 100 or so G&K converted smart cars do not have their initials on the speedometer display. Better to look at the G&K sticker in the engine bay.

Not true. I did not have any trouble with my 2006 smart.

But.....had your 450 already been titled and registered in the USA or did you buy it in Canada, Europe or Mexico and import it yourself?
