50K and it's still running!

I hit 50,000 the other day and it's still running. So far I've changed one tail light bulb, but that's about all.

Wow -- 50,000 is amazing. I'm 'only' up to 45K, and I've been driving really steadily since May 9, 2008. My commute is about 170 miles a day, tho like today, there are unexpected days off that limit my driving some months.

It's impressive that you haven't had any car woes. I've had a few minor hiccups and some moderate PITAs, like when the driver's side door latch failed. But I'm thrilled with the car nonetheless and have gotten awesome mileage (nearly 46 mpg on average since day 1).

Some Qs:
1. How often have you changed the oil. I've just followed the every-10K recommendation.
2. What's your commute?
3. What's your mileage (if you track it)?
4. Do you know of anyone else with nearly that many miles or even more miles? I only know of one other person on this forum who's even close (JThw8, who has probably reached 47K by now, if not 48).

Keep on truckin'!

David

I now have 78,500 kms (almost 49,000 miles) and currently putting on about 1,000 kms per week. I'm going to be moving soon and my commute will increase dramatically; total mileage accrued will probably change to 2,000 kms per week.

Using Mobil 1 0w40 and changing it approx every 7,500 kms to 10,000 kms.

Just to verify - are all of these 40k+ cars a 2008 or newer 451 model?

Looking at the posters' information and signatures, they're all 2008 451's.
