This is interesting, here in Britain I run my smart roadster on superunleaded fuel, Bp is 97 octane, Shell do Optimax which is 98 octane, and Tesco does 99 octane, so the fuel over your way is a lot less volatile than our stuff, but the drawback is our fuel is £1.10p a litre, about $2.20, so it is about $8.40 a us gallon according to my conversion table, we are being priced off the road over here, and the bigger the gas guzzler you have got, the more road tax you have to pay, eg, a for 2 is £35 a year to keep it on the road, but say a 4.0ltr Range rover is £400 for road tax, so that is why smart cars are becoming more popular over here.
Road tax is a tax you have to pay to have your car on the road and you get a disc that goes on your windshield to prove to police that you have payed it, so the bigger the car, the more you pay.
