You got it, mvaldes. My home condenser has become one block of ice. The only way for any air to get through is to sneak around the edges. This severely restricts the airflow. The reason I tend to freeze up has more to do with not enough airflow to bring the temperature of the condenser up. It's because Big Panda's fan was on the lowest setting that the ice managed to form and block up the condenser. What air did get through was cold but most of it just tried to get through.

I could teach you how to make a mean Ham, Turkey and Swiss on a Wheat Bagel if you like. It's great, especially with Spinach Dip on it. Really! Just ask my wife.....

AC Ineffective

Someone fix the thread-title spelling please? Moderators should be fixing all thread-title spelling in my opinion. I am seeing three pages of responses to this thread and nobody's fixed it.

/spelling rant

Maybe there is a Inn somewhere that is effective in providing lodging with good AC. The OP could have accidentally trailed over to talking about the smart AC.

Don't matter, we all know what it meant.....

Today, my wife and I took a ride to Galveston (about 85 miles or so from my house), and believe it or not, I had to turn UP my A/C as it was getting too cold in my car !!

A/C works incredibly well in my car.....

You could misspell every other word and people would know what you meant, but that's not the point. Proper spelling is easy to fix and makes the board look nice and neat.

It's the same logic behind editing a thread-title from: '?????????????? ZOMG big problum halp@!@!!!! to 'Help: Radiator Leak'. Sure, we know what the original title means, but it looks awful, doesn't it? A misspelled word isn't that bad but it could easily be fixed.

Come on moderators step up. ;)

I don't wanna thread jack, but seeing as how both my PM's to admins were ignored I figured I would post something here.

Back to your regularly-scheduled programming.

People knew what they meant. The mods have more important things to worry about than spelling of posts... that's probably why the PMs were ignored.

First a moderator IS responsible for fixing threads, whether that is spelling for the titles (so the board looks tight and makes a good impression), merging threads, clarifying vague titles, thread deletions (which they seem to be on top of) and everything else.

The PM's were ignored because the admins here don't think enough of their members to bother responding. I am talking about thread titles by the way (if you're reading), not just posts in general (that would be silly).

Anyway, the moderator with the best spelling should fix the thread-title spelling for the whole forum, otherwise the board starts to look sloppy and not as *smart* as it could look, and it takes very little effort.

Oh, and if the moderators don't have time, I will gladly volunteer to do it (see, I bet you wish you hadn't typed that they didn't have time heh).

I see the board seems to be pretty solid, and I know someone is doing something good somewhere. Maybe it's just policy not to fix spelling in thread titles? If so, I'd suggest fixing that policy. ;)

Thanks to whoever corrected the thread-title spelling. Back to the topic, sorry for the tangent.

We try to leave thread titles alone except to clarify what the thread is about. If the OP requests a change we will oblige, otherwise I see no need to go into every post or thread title to do spelling corrections unless it causes the meaning of the post to be misunderstood.
