I haven't ran into a problem with one yet. I haven't gotten mine yet, but have driven 5 or 6 on varying road conditions.

It's pretty damn quick 0-30 if you stand on the pedal. Highway merges are not too bad as well - you just can't be shy about sticking your foot in it. I'll be driving mostly highway, and have no worries.

Here's a good representative Youtube video. At about 1:12, the guy punches it from a roll. Great sounds as well.
Definitely feels quicker than the numbers suggest.

Sounded like it rapped up pretty quickly, visual through the windshield was impressive. I have a passion reserved**no due date yet, but what I'm seeing is not encouraging.

Just curious, what are you wanting to "see"?

What hills are you concerned about climbing in Oklahoma?

The car does fine on hills and merging on the freeway.

I'll preface by saying that I love my Smart.

That being said, this weekend I had my first "test" of accelerating uphill while merging onto the interstate. The Smart is no, um, Porsche in this category. It took a long time to get up to speed (longer than I would have liked given the cars zooming by) and definitely felt the strain.

Agreed...I have no problems merging on to freeway, or any, traffic for that matter...;)

I have to say I agree with Shosh. I love my Smart but accelerating onto highways from a short entrance can be nerve wracking at times. Usually it works out okay but, here in PA, there are a lot of short entrances and a lot of truck traffic. That being said, I still drive the interstate every day and feel confident most of the time. No problem at all on the average or longer entrances.

I have no problems at all on hills and I live in a hilly area.

Merging onto I-270 in the Germantown MD area was no problem for me - and when it is not jammed up, people flat out move up there.

Other than metered ramps around NoVA which I hit on occasion, the only major challenge of a ramp I drive frequently is MD 32E to I-95N. You enter into the left hand lane of 5 lanes of fast I-95 traffic... I'm usually pushing upper 90s if not 100+ coming off of that ramp merging onto I-95.

I drove buses all through college for my school... nothing like merging into traffic at 35 MPH and not being able to gain speed quickly - it kind of breaks you of ever sweating an on ramp.
