Accessories

I'm just sitting here looking over the accessories brochure I got at the dealership today. Although I may get the bike rack in the spring, the only things that looked worth getting right now to me were the chrome package and the fog light rings. Anyone else thinking about these? I think they would look nice with the blue / silver I'm getting. Unfortunately there are no prices listed.

Funny thing is the brochure talks about going to smartusa.com to find the entire collection of accessories. The picture in the brochure of the home page, however, looks completely different then the current website (and I can't find a link to any accessories on the current website.) Could an upgraded website be coming? Monday perhaps?

I'm very interested in the Glasses Compartment, and Wind Deflector to ward of the back draft when my top is down. I had one on my Miata and I could really tell a difference when it was being used and not being used. I will probably also buy the all weather mats just because of Michigan winters.

Does anybody know if the luggage compartment cover comes with the Passion model, or does that have to be purchased separately?

I would love to see a brochure of accessories. You said you got it at the dealership? I don't know that we have one yet here in L.A. At least none that I've been given the name of.

I scanned it at work today using our FaxSys tool, but it looks like crap. Someone hopefully has a pdf or something better. Also a word of caution... it's almost 1 MB.

Accessories

Looking at the B&W Accessories scan that Vlad92 (wished we had a better color copy) has has posted. Thanks for posting Vlad92. The #22 Safety Plus Package and the #19 Luggage Compartment Cover are listed as optional Accessories.

Now!! I was told be the SMART folks during the Tour last year, that this two Accessories will be included as standard equipment. Thinking I heard wrong, I asked another SMART guy at the tour, he confirmed it. But I think they might have been wrong.

Anyway the Accessories listed in the TIF image seem to be the same listed in the new brochure (from the San Diego Center web site_ . But I don't see "Wheel Theft Protection" lug nuts as listed in the Canadian site. Will they not be available to the US dealers from SMART?

Gary at the Alexandria Smart Center told me that they have not received any Accessories yet but expect them this week along with the cars.

Has any one talked to a dealer regarding Smart Accessory availability and cost?

Yes, but they didn't know exactly when the stuff would arrive.

I heard too that the standard luggage cover was included from the smart house folks. But on the accessories price list I have it says "optional."

From the price list I got:

Chrome pack $399
Fog rings $120
Base rack $549
bke rack/2nd bike $$65/$120 (base rack required)
