I paid $65 for Velour and $48 for rubber (all weather) smart branded floor mats. This seems in line with the Flying Tiger prices ($CDN 78.09 & 58.65). I like to give my business to my local dealer and don't mind a reasonable markup (we are really all in this together - they need to stay in business and we need them to stay in business) but availability is the big issue on parts. I have also dealt with Paul (ClassicSmarts) via phone and am very happy with his help.

I posted this in another thread, but I think it's worth putting here as well.

My personal opinion, floor mats are just that - floor mats. They keep the crap from your shoes off your floor. Why spend a lot of dough on them? I'm not saying it's wrong, but I'd rather spend the cash somewhere else.

I bought two black rubber car floor mats at Wal-Mart for $4 each. They look quite good under my black leather seats, are a very good fit, and can be easily taken out, hosed off and put back in again. When they get beyond repair, I can find another use for them, or toss them. Total investment . . . 8 bucks. I highly recommend this approach.

Just picked up my smart passion today from Manhattan But I do want to say I also paid $65 for the Velour mats and its a very nice mat so I have no complaint regarding the price, that's like only a little over 30 dollars for each one.

He's the Parts Manager for the Round Rock, Texas Smart Center.

He has a bunch of posts for internet deals in the Vendor Marketplace section of the forums. His name, email and direct phone number is listed on his posts.

I've obtained some parts from him, and he was a pleasure to do business with, and has competitive pricing.

My SMART branded mats cost $71.50 for the carpeted and $53.90 for the rubber ones. It is a lot of money "to keep the dirt and snow off the carpet".... I had to wait a long time for these to come in so in the meanwhile used the WalMart route of cheap carpet mats which worked okay but too long. I guess I bought them because I never had a new car that came without mats. I think the ones that are contoured to fit the car are better. Maybe I'm talking myself into spending $136.37. Oh well, I hear from the dealer that the Mercedes mats cost $500+.

I got both sets, but after using the rubber ones I don't think I'll even unwrap the velour ones. It's so nice not having to worry about parking lot oil stains, chewing gum, dirt, etc. Whenever I'm in the smart, I don't look at the floor.

No, I'll keep them maybe for a night at the opera! I could have returned them to the dealer (still unopened).
