We had a couple of things happen.

My granddaughter (4) likes to ride in the car. One day on the freeway she wanted a book that was on the floorboard so she leaned way forward to get it. The only thing I can think of is that she put enough pressure on the seat to trip the air bag sensor. The car just quit cold. We were close to a car pool off ramp so I took it and as the car was slowing below 30mph I tried turning off the key and then going to start. It fired right up.

We did have a faulty sparkplug once. It doesn't run well on 2 cylinders. I was driving in my neighborhood a couple of months after and it started running rough again. I nursed it home and turned it off. I started it again and everything worked fine and that was a few weeks ago.

I guess our biggest problems are either people who seem to think we should burn rubber off of a light (or else they are trying to retrieve something in our trunk) or they think we shouldn't be on the road and try to turn into our space.

I bought my '09 passion in January which now has 9,000 miles on the odometer. Since day one all gas gauge blocks do not always turn on when I fill the tank. I assume this is just the nature of the beast. I'd like to hear if the gauge gas works properly all the time for someone. There was a broken plastic piece on the turn signal. I was semi-annoyed at how long it took the San Jose smart center to get the replacement and the feeling that they forgot about calling me when it came in. This was strictly cosmetic and I figured it would eventually get fixed, which it was. Otherwise no problems.

6,000 miles "0" problems. Changed my oil myself at about 5k. That's it!! Took it on about 1000 mile trip about a week ago. It survived a week in Houston and treacherous Louisiana roads. Sustained a few rock chips to the hood and windshield.

I thought TX roads were getting bad.... LA fix your roads..

alarm, for the 2rd time. First time 'twas the microwave motion sensor. Second time they didn't find it and behaved like a little angel there and for over a month after. Acting up again... That's the only problem, unless you count the 7/8 gas thing.
Still lovin' it.

Just a quirky fuel gauge that doesn't always show full after filling up.

1. Horn -- had to be replaced. I never thought to beep the horn at the dealership the morning I picked it up. First time I had occasion to beep, the dang thing was not working.
2. Check Engine light came on -- had to be reset
3. Safety system light indicated broken spring in the safety belt system -- replaced
4. 7/8 gas gauge indicater "fixed" two times. Too soon to tell if it is working correctly.

2009 Purchased new in Feb., 4500 miles approx.
