Wife and I are both 41. We have 3 kids, but use the smart a lot to shuffle them around. They usually have separate school functions, baseball practice, etc. Also great for quick midweek runs to the grocery store.
We have 3 other vehicles ( Impala 9c1, Caravan, and Mercedes C320 ) for when we all have to go somewhere, but the smart is happily getting the most miles of late...

No kids in the house yet, paid cash, both under 35. We'll keep the smartie around after we have a kid in the house. We also have a 06 HHR (the HoundMobile, as it carts the dogs around daily and will eventually be the kidmobile) and an 07 xterra (aka - what gets almost no drive time in unless we are going camping, kayaking or to the UP, eh!)
Plus, hubby will be taking the eventual bebe to the bebesitter's since it's right by where he works. Poor guy, he wanted the smart more than me and now I don't let it go!
