The ultimate performance accessory!

Today I came to rest at a stop light, nestling into the middle lane of a three lane thoroughfare. I noted the car to my left was a Ruf Porsche. The driver of the Ruf caught me eyeing his car. I smiled, which earned a smirk and an upturned nose.

That’s when I saw them. The ultimate performance accessory! I bet I could get through the slalom in half the time with those kid-skinned driving gloves! Ooooo-baby and how they looked so, so, machismo, with the pony-tail. How could I be so naïve as to add a turbo to my wish list, when for a mere pittance, I could be tearing up the streets with my new driving gloves! And I could even add the pony-tail for naught!

My mind raced with the possibilities.

Just then, the light turned green. The soccer-mom in her mini-van which had been in front of me, bless her, cut off the Ruf leaving me a gaping whole, into which I disappeared. The last I saw of the Ruf, it had vanished into a tiny spec in my rear-view mirror, impotent behind both a soccer-mom and yet another red light.

I was searching info on '63 Corvettes the other day when I found something that mentioned Ferrari drivers. They had mentioned the Ferrari guy that was traveling with them wasn't as creepy as most because he didn't have the gloves, Ferrari Jacket, Ferrari Hat, Ferrari Watch, Ferrari Shirt and sunglasses.

That being said. I have shirts that match my cars. If I drive the smart, I wear a smart shirt. If I drive the Corvette, I wear a Corvette shirt that has a silkscreen art of an identical car. I have yet to figure out something for the Street Rod. Not trying to be creepy, but it is easy to identify in a crowd at the various car shows I go to. Most people can now recognize me without the shirts now so I imagine I'm creepy looking enough on my own to be memorable.

Aggressive driving.....last night was an Oldsmobile. Guy raced through town to get ahead. Finally got to open 2 lane blacktop out in the middle of nowhere and he slowed down. I pushed him for the next 20 miles until he reached MY speed I was comfortable to go at.

I get ticked off when Im going 10 OVER the limit and people are fighting to get ahead of me. I usually drive 55 for mpgs, but when I get cut off, or see another German car, I feel frisky. That and the weather coming home from our last m&g was nice enough I pretended I had a cabrio and drove at least 70 all the way home!
