Smart has 31,000 reservations so far, US production/deliveries have been estimated for 2008 at 16-25 thousand, though, when I attended the test drive in Charlotte NC the smart rep said everyone who reserved a car this year would get one in 2008. I reserved aug 4, and don't expect to see my smartie before turkey day 2008, at the earliest.
