I tested it again today. Roof open, driver's window open. Alarm set. Waited a couple minutes. The alarm was tripped by reaching into the car ... but, I'd be happy if the reaction time was faster. It took several seconds of flailing my arm through the window to trip it. Plenty of time to grab something and bolt. I also wish the activation time was more in the line of 15-20 seconds instead of several minutes. But, on the positive side, I am now more familiar with the alarm's parameters ... and I know it does work.

Don't leave windows or roof open with anything inside that someone may feel worth snatching (naturally).

Didn't get the alarm, thought I did. Purse was stolen out of my Smart on day 4. You can't tell that it's locked or not with the central locking system. So I got the Hornet 727T added with the voice module, motion sensor and tip sensor. Now we laugh at the car. Yesterday I was at Walgreens when someone came in fussing that that Itty Bitty car just yelled at her. "Armed By Viper....Step Back!!!" What a hoot!! It's that small dog with the BIG DEEP BARK. I just love my 'Mean' car!!! Even the Navi system I have talks to me. Told me I was speeding. Feels like I own Night Riders 'KITT'. I just Love my GODZILLA now.
