Where is the actual siren on a 451? Thanks.

I need to get to the actual siren on a 451 for several reasons. Where the heck is that thing and what panels, if any, do I remove? Thank you.

You can find the approximate location in the "Introduction of the smart fortwo Model series 451" found here, page 22.

I have had the same problem with my Smart here in Little Rock. I called the dealer in Tulsa and complained about keeping my neighbors up at 3:00 in the morning. He said he would check with the manufacturer and get back to me. He never did. The problem seems to have stopped and I haven't had any repeats all summer but I doubt the problem is solved. I may call Steve in Dallas and see what the recommended fix is.

The siren and interior motion sensor are one piece, if that means anything. It's most likely that causing your issue. Take out the sensor, take out the siren. The car will still gladly flash as if it's going off though if the door or tow sensors are tripped.
Trust me, it'll definately come back. Mine went off 3 times in one day, then didn't sound off for 3 months, so mine did the EXACT same thing. Now they're swapping out the whole thing as of today since I've had it fixed twice. I'm a special case, apparently. Was told by the tech he's never seen the alarm problem to my extent. If it was a lottery, I just won. Extremely not likely that'll have to be done for you.
Just have them check the tow and motion sensors.

My alarm has been set off many times by various flying bugs inside the car. Don't have to be very big either. if you don't find the bug just disable the motion sensor. Push the button that looks like the car on hook.

You're not a special case - I've had this problem for over a year and they've replaced all the sensors. It's still going off

I've had bugs set off mine too ... when it's hot I tend to leave the windows cracked since Tiny is black inside and out and tends to go plasmic in the sun. In comes a fly, and then the alarm will start to go off. In fact, it happened today.
