People are giving up their National Enquirer subscriptions to come to this smart website for their dose of drama! Personally, I gave up watching most news programs... otherwise I'd be scared to wake up in the morning!
Listen you guys taht are dropping out, I am really sorry that you aren't getting your cars! I think there is going to be a brotherhood in the smart community that hasn't been seen since the early Beetle days, people smiling and waving at each other.
The roads are liable to turn friendly again with the smart drivers!
That said, Why, if you have dropped out and everyone is moving up a day (Two?), has my DDE date slipped a day?
I to was looking at the Yaris but told myself that if I got the yaris I would be settling. I was very lucky I only waited 4 weeks 5 days for my orphan. also I'm lucky to have 5 cars so if and when my Smart blows into a million plastic chunks and melts into the tarmac like the wicked witch of the west (as stated here by a few others, not my thinking) I will still have 4 more cars to keep me going till I can glue my smart back together. I do have a toyota echo and I love that littl car too!
When you read about our smarts crapping out at 15,000 miles, you'll never look back. The Yaris is a better car - if you NEED a car.
The smart is a conversation piece that happens to be street legal. It's a joke and a toy, and should be sold in novelty stores.

exactly. there are plenty of cars out there that make more "sense" but that's not the point! other cars are boring.
yeah I hope the same thing doesn't happen to me, but my Yaris Hatch "S" (standard) and my Smart have to be ordered and have at least a 6 month wait on each... I hope the lil '92 toyota will keep going as far as i am concerned both would be great to have, but i have been following the "Vitz"/yaris for a lot longer.. oh well only time will tell.
P.S. did you get the hatch or the sedan? the Yaris hatch rocks!
