All weather mats question

I just got all weather mats and was trying to put them in the drivers side. It comes with screws. Do you screw the 3 screws into the floor? There does not seem to be any pre-made holes in place to put the screws. Any ideas?

They are made to screw into the floor carpet and hold the mats.

I have the all weather mats and do NOT use the screws as there is enough velcro on the back to keep them in place

There are holes, you just have to feel around for them. The main screw I need Is for the veery top left part. It has no velcro. And it tends to slowly shift if they are loose of the screws.
