Wow Angel, I met my match! I do the same thing, Excel spreadsheet with all the same info that you mentioned. I didn't have an H3, but am definitely a stats geek.

Hey Curtis, even though I go crazy with numbers, you're getting good mileage so who really cares as long as you're enjoying your car. However I'm not sure I'd want people thinking smarts get 100 MPG!

I could care less what my mileage is. I have a ball driving it, and using it as a model for parts I make. When I'm concerned about mileage I drive my '89 Geo Metro rat trap that still gets 41mpg around town.

Actually, I think I'll take a less inflated route when people ask "whats its gas mileage?" I'll use 50 mpg. Too many people have said "gee, I thought it would get more" when I tell 'em the real figures of 35 - 40 mpg.

Its funny how you refer the Geo to a rat trap.
We used to call our 89 Suzuki (Geo) the rats nest because the rear seat turned to fuzz and dust.
Can't dispute the economy these things were capable of though.

SmartBillet, I am like you, when I ordered my car nobody was talking about the gas situation and that factor was zero in my decision to buy a Smart, I got the smart because it's to coolest car around, if it got 20mpg I still would have bought one. If I wanted to save gas I'd ride either my Vespa Scooter or my Yamaha Vino Scooter..

I have to admit I'm not the savvy in the ways of Excel. The man person set up all the formula's. All I have to do is fill in the blanks.

That's probably all screwed up with my cut and paste from Excel. Should kinda sorta give you an idea of what mine has on it though. I'm jealous though. I don't have any graphs. ;)

Not as bad as you might have in mind. Our Hummer is the H3. It was purchased to be our "work" vehicle. When we need to haul or tow something, she's our go to vehicle. Right now it's at about 23,000 miles and averaging over her lifetime apx 20 mpg. That's with the majority of her time on the road hauling and/or towing. It's not like the original Hummer or the H2 that aren't required to have MPG ratings because they suck down the gas so bad.

I track my mileage mainly because as a consultant I drive a dirt load and need to get reimbursed.

Mileage has turned out to be a benefit for myself - it wasn't a massive factor for buying

We've had 'em in the UK for years and a mate of mine smuggled one in to the USA about 8 years back and had his wife zipping around in it with dealer plates - since then I've wanted one - wan't willing to pay the nutty numbers for a 'grey market'

I do have every petrol receipt and an excel sheet - but only for the mileage - not driving conditions etc - as, as much as I drive I'd never rememebe

Bull8042 - I love that 'neener neener boo boo' - I have got to steal it - I work with a young lady that has done it, seen it, had it, been there, done that, knows someone that has and so on and so forth and butts in to conversations that she is not involved in to announce that she can 'relate' in everyway to the topic...... erm...... she's 22 I believe...... good grief

Cheers
