Amateur Radio Antenna Installation

I am preparing to install my Yeasu FT-7800 in my 2009 Passion. I have read thru the postings from a couple of years ago about possible antenna locations and attach points. However, I don't see any followups on successes or failures.

I have a Comet SBB-5 and a Comet EM-5M lip mount. I saw several postings about mounting to the trim below the windshield on the passengers side. Any new advice on using this location? How did you get your antenna wire into the interior, a hole thru the frame or routed around the door jamb?

I plan to mount my radio behind the drivers seat.

Looking forward to having my Ham radio in my Smart.

Glenn,
I mounted that antenna in the rear on the plastic over the rear hatch. PL 259 mount, small coax snaked down inside with the exsisting wires for the wiper and center stop light. So far using a IC 80 with it for now. Soon to get a 900 mhz antenna along side.
