Any coolers (ice chest) fit under the cargo cover?

Howdy all

Picnic time is here.

Anyone find a cooler/ice chest/esky that fits under the roll out cargo cover?

Please share

I am very surprised that smart doesn't offer one with the logo (and velcro on the bottom to keep it from sliding)?

Yes, I bought an "ice cube" cooler (it's blue) at Target. It's not big, it holds a little more than two 1/2 gallon ice cream containers, but it does just barely fit under the cargo cover.

I'm pretty sure it's this one:

By the way, I place it in the center of the cargo area to get it to fit properly. It doesn't fit well near eaither side.

We use one of the insulated zip-up bags, available at Sam's or Costco, and a freezer cube. That solves our problem of bringing home frozen or cold items from far away locations on a hot day. When not in use, the flat bag can stay in the car under a seat or behind a seat. It can also be used to carry picnic items in sealed plastic containers.

Me too. They seem to be missing the boat on smart-related accessories. Dealers could be racking up serious money selling that stuff, and perhaps then they'd stop powdercoating every wheel they see.

Yup, soft cooler is the way to go, always in the car, folded behind the seat. Don't have to remember to take it along. Just like the reuseable shopping bags, always there. Dave

They actually make one as part of the 451 lineup, just no one is importing it yet.
