Any Word Yet (at port?)

Has there been any word of Smarts that arrived in Baltimore on 11/3 on the Sierra Nevada Highway. Its been two weeks and it seems as though someone would have heard something by now.

Mine showed up on October 29th in Baltimore on the Tailsman, got to the dealer this past Friday (11-14) and can't be delivered because it's missing an EPA sticker. The dealer doesn't have any time line for delivery because of the missing sticker.

Mine was among the first to arrive in the US on October 29th. Since then a number of other ships with lots of additional '09s have arrived. Yes, some cars have actually left Baltimore and have arrived at dealers.

Take the dealer here in MN, for example. They have received several 2009s (mine is NOT one of them as of today) in the last few days, but cannot sell them because they lack the proper EPA stickers. Meanwhile my vehicle - which you'll recall was one of the 1st 300 in the US - remains somewhere.

UPDATE: I believe the issue has been resolved and I can't wait to take delivery in a few days!

I am very, very quickly losing interest in this vehicle. I can go into practically any dealership and buy a car - today. Yes, the Smart car is unique, but unfortunately, so is the buying experience (at least my buying experience to this point). I don't blame the dealer, they can't even sell cars they already have.

Is this an issue with Smart USA, or the Federal Government, or both?

My dissatisfaction increases with each passing day.

Your thoughts?

Kevin
Welcome to the smartcar experience! It seems a person has to put up with a lot in order to get their smartcar. This type of thing has been going on since the being and yes it is getting very old. I've been waiting over a year so I guess I can wait a little longer.
