Anybody else love having the passenger seat belt jam?

i dont know if this has been around yet but,
whats really enjoyable is having the passenger seat belt jam in the seat shoulder holder.
try taking it completely out of the seat shoulder bracket, works much better for me.

I haven't had any problems with it but I seem to recall someone saying it tended to get caught in the shorter groove used for removing it. They solved it with some tape over that groove so the belt stayed in the proper place.

No, but I've got a different seat buckle problem. There's a plastic thingie on the belt which keeps the buckle from sliding too far down, making it hard to reach between the seat and the door. My plastic thingie has gone missing. I'm thinking about something to replace it. The passenger side still has it's thingie.

Another thing, sometimes the belt seems to retract very weakly when unbuckled. I've caught it in the door on several occasions.

Pull the belt all the way out and verify there are no twists and that it's threaded correctly.

Several times, the belt of the passenger seat got twisted because the seat back was too close to the belt exit. My solution: set the passenger seat at the first or second notch fore, and not all the way aft.

~ I had a fat guy in my passenger seat, talk about a bull in a china shop . . . Not only did he jam the seatbelt, he pulled the entire line out and it got stuck , he had to step back outside the car in order to fix it . . .

He is no longer allowed to ride with me

i have had seat belt probs on my pass seat as well, i think this should be a re-call, i have seen many posts in the past on the same subject. This seem like a small problem but it could cause a death and Smart would be on the hook for it

Hey! Thats not cool. Tell him to go get an extender for a toyota matrix or a ford extender from the dealerships (free of course) the next time he wants a ride. Thats what my WIFE does.

~ He is a co-worker so that was a one time thing! lol . .. I insisted on taking him for a ride because he INSISTED that he wouldn't fit . . I had to prove him wrong . .. We had a HUGE laugh about it after I told him that he was banned . ..

His feelings weren't hurt, he still said that he wouldn't consider buying a smart . .
