Our passenger-side belt doesn't get twisted or stuck in the crack but it DOES lock up all the time, as if the mechanism is more sensitive on that side. If a complaint about the seat belt is because it's locking up, that's irritating but at least it's doing what it's designed to do. If the belt is actually getting tangled or stuck in the slot, that's a very different thing and a clear safety issue which needs to be addressed.

It is rare that I have a passenger. When I do, I have yet to have any one say any thing about it.

I never had the issue. Except for people slaming it in the door when they get out.

For me, that is the issue. And it's not because of the guide, it's the 180 twist in the belt itself. It just wont retract with the twist.
