Anyone bought a Smart from the Minneapolis, MN dealership?

I was wondering how it was dealing with them and what the doc fee is?

I am waiting for mine (1194) but did call and was told there was a $55.00 fee. They are quite slow to answer e-mails, but I can't blame them. I am sure they are very busy with emails, phones and walk-ins. I am sure this will improve with time.

I drove one yesterday and the sales guy told me there was a $600 fee. I also told the manager to put me on the orphan list. I emailed to confirm this and to find out how many people are ahead of me. Haven't heard back.

I believe the 600 odd dollars was the destination fee. All new cars have a similar charge. On Honda’s web site, it is $635.00 and Toyota’s is $660.00

I think you're correct. We've heard from Bloomington, and there's no dealer prep fee. The destination charge is a flat, nation-wide fee.

They are really nice people in the Bloomington dealership. I email them with a question and they email me back and also call the same day. 1413
