I have just about given up on 8" and larger subs for my car because of the sealed box requirements. I just can't seem to design a box large enough for the sub and still get it under the dash. So I have started really considering the JL Audio 6W3v3-4 which only has a .3 cu ft requirement. I can get a 9x9x6.75 box under there without a lot of fight. My question is, does anyone know how these little subs perform?
I already know they won't sound like a 15" Rockford in a competition bandpass box. But are they $150 better than the little 4" factory thing?
It will be powered by my JL A4300 amp with two-channel bridged at 220W RMS.
