Anyone have the Brabus "Ambient Footwell Lighting"?

I am interested in having light in the footwell, but am NOT interested in spending $400 - $500 to do it. Call me cheap.
If anyone got it, can you describe what the lights look like or maybe a pic or two? I can't imagine it would be a major change to the wiring harness. So it would be just a matter of figuring out the mounting of a couple of 12V LED modules. Does this sound right, or am I way off base?

Actually the brabus lights is a bit of a job you have to wire it through the sam

I am interested in the Brabus lighting also, but like you said, the cost factor is a big concern along making it work with the SAM hassle(dealer involvement).

I had a shop here in Chicago do 2 lights inside(footwells) and 2 under each door for $50.00 each, including a 3 way switch-off,on when the locks are used and on all the time.Now that they are installed the next set of LEDs will be less.

I think I am going to snag the power for the existing dome light and use that. I really want lighting in the footwell the same time the dome light is on anyway.
Maybe the Brabus option is more "mood lighting" than what I am after and I am just misunderstanding its operation.
