Anyone Thinking of Wraping their SMART

I read somewhere that in Europe they often wrap them with advertising. I have a call in to an auto wrapper to get a price and find out what the procedure is. In addition to being a run-around vehicle, I may use it to advertise my business. That is if I end up taking delivery. ;)

They will be quite the talk of the town when they roll out of the dealer's lots this week.

I remember the first year of owning a Segway, everywhere you go, people would stop you and talk to you about it.

I would think it will be somewhat similar with the SMART, because it is so different.

What's the status on you "wrappers?" I have a design I want on the front (bonnet) panel. Only there. Anyone that will just make me a wrapper for that piece and if so, who?

I am in the sign & graphics business and have big wrap plans for my little car when it gets here. It should be no problem for you to find some shop in your area to print yours up. Any sign shop that does large format digital printing can take your ideas and create something really cool for you. Prices around here average $8-10 a sq. ft. Are you going to print a picture of a big V-8 to make it look like it is in your smart, or maybe a hamster cage? I plan on taking a picture of my 2 golden retrievers looking out the back of my smart and printing that on the media they wrap windows for the back window of my smart. 100's of ideas, mine won't look the same for more than a couple of months at a time.

I'm wrapping mine with my company logo/phone number etc. A local company is doing it. You can also do vinyl, etc.

I also have a Ford GT (see avatar). It's in "heritage" colors which are blue and orange with white circles for the numbers. I'm going to wrap the Smart to match my GT. The circles will have 1/2 in them. I'm going to a GT rally later this year and want to bring my Smart, too. When I get it done, I'll take pics and post them (don't hold your breath - 2nd half of '08 is my expected delivery).

Hadn't thought about it but it's a cute idea. I have a question - are the decals removeable without leaving a sticky mess when you decide to take them off?
