Attitude Adjustment

I've had an attitude adjustment lately. Anyone else experienced this?

* I keep in the slow lane these days. Don't stress over being late, or passing the next guy. I just kinda mosey along, not really caring how long it takes to get to work.....and arrive at work a lot happier and relaxed. I know I can't outrun all the other cars, and no longer care.

* I look forward to the drive home. Never used to do that (I was more of an I-just-wish-I-was-already-there! kind of gal) , but now at 5pm, I'm out the door, grinning like a fool, clutching my key.

*I arrive at home, windblown and exhilirant, and actually regret having to park it and put the top up.

*I'm soooo much better a driver than I was three weeks ago (in the before Smart days). A lot more attentive, a lot more courteous to other drivers. See, I know they are suffering from Gawk Factor, and my new, calmer self makes allowances for this.

* I spend a lot of time chatting out back in the parking lot. Customers come in and then drag me out to show them the car. I take constant Smart breaks. I think I'm making up for years of no coffee breaks, lol!

*I see through my husband plotting reasons that he "needs" to run errands and, oh, OK if he takes the Smart?

*I don't get as teed off as I used to in the van when he changes radio stations and all the audio settings, now that I've discovered the Smart has a reset button.

* I had a year to save up for the car. No car note! Now there's an attitude adjusment for ya!

Anybody else?

Exhale!

Got to agree with you! I'm having fun, feel less stress. I feel like I have a stupid grin on my face 24/7. Slipping in and out of traffic is a breeze people are either looking at me or they can't fit where I can go. Great Fun!

Yes, I agree with most of that.
I find myself driving "gentler," and moseying along a lot more.

I dont care who passes me, I've got noting to prove. My cuteness covers it all!

I have gone from a dominant alpha male to now being the humble servant of my smart. It says, "Take me for a run," and I jump to get the key.

But, as far as economy, I've gone from, "Let's save money," to, "Let's go drive somewhere, ANYWHERE!" (Who cares what it costs!?!)

I've also become a little elitist, thinking, "If only people reaaaaally knew what it was like to own one of these..." My first consideration when running errands or going to work is where can I park... in order to be most visible to others? Talking smart is a constant blast, taking me from quiet and reserved to a way-off-the-chart goofball in a split-nanosecond.

So... the smart has released the inner me. And it was cheaper than getting a therapist!

Here's a question for y'all... if you had to choose just ONE word to describe WHAT owning a smart SAYS about you personally, what would that ONE word be???

(Hint: thrifty, practical, emotional, rebellious, offbeat, shallow, smart (d'oh), self-assured, leader, crazy, different, maverick, sensible, adventuresome, bold, simple, minimalist, egotistical, hedonistic, narcissistic, quiet, unassuming, irreverent, daring, honest, straightforward, playful, carefree, laid-back... what's YOUR one word???)

What inner-you has the smart released?

I've always hated cars...until now.

Now, I chat about my smart with everyone and find myself showing off her photo.

I agree, except for the driving in the slow lane part. Nothing cracks me up more than cranking it up to warp speed, then flashing to pass in the left lane and watching the looks on people's faces as I blow on by... Hi-lar-ious

David, I agree. I don't know how to drive slow. and mosey? what's that? I'm in the fast lane and forget that I'm not in my Z3. My little Smart just cruises along with all the big guys. And yes...I love to pass them too.
