im checking with a club i used to belong to that does "timed" autocross events.
it isnt free ($40?) and does require preregistration. there are a few basic rules, such as a helmet and seatbelts.

no actually it is the PCOA, orange co. but they look great too!

I run with Cal Club but done PCOA events before. I believe the smart will run HS there. I think they'll (PCOA) let you if they have room.
Next year three of the local SCCA guys will have a smart here in Indy. We talked about running them for one event just for s#@! and giggles, maybe for the season opener fun event. "Oh, uhh? Another SCCA class? But it's a smart class."
