In Michigan we can go online to see what personalized plates are available, so just for kicks I checked some out (in case I ever do end up with a ForTwo).
If your state has this feature it's a fun way to kill some time.

I went ahead and made the jump and reserved my "FORTWO" Arkansas plate. Now, let's see if I actually buy one..........

Michigan "SMARTI" plate now riding around on our 93 Ford Festiva. Hope we get those Smart cars soon ) .

HA HA! The wife was less than enthusiastic about giving up her current personalized plates to make room for a place to save the fortwo plates until the car arrives. Besides, it might look goofy on her Suburban; at least for those of us who are already fortwo enthusiasts!

Our Illinois plates say "SMART" -- of course we had to order one of the specialty plates to get that. We got the Illinois Pet Friendly plates so it worked out great.
