Has anyone followed the link at the top of the home page to Oswego Luxury?? I watched a news clip there from a local tv station that professed that the Smart got 60 mpg and cost $25,000!!!! I wrote them to come to this website and read about the real world and also do a follow up to tell those people who paid $25,000 for the car that they should write to Roger Penske.
Oswego is selling 2006 grey market 450s not the newer 451 that is being imported by Penske. I believe the 450 can get 60 MPG (at least the EU version) and they were costing $25-30K to bring in. My father looked at getting one a few years ago and gave up due to the 30K price.
Yup. And apparently the grey smarties have a difficult time finding authorized dealers for service. I could be wrong about that. Hope so, they're spendy to retrofit. This forum has some 450 folks, and lots of info back and forth.
