Bad economy buy a smart!!!!!!

Bad economy buy a smart!!!!!!

Heres the reasons why>

Its a gas saver

very reasonable and cheap insurance rates = more savings

If downsizing from a SUV it can save you 3 times as much money

Less you need to spend on maintinence. Most cars every 3K the smart only every 10K

If ever in a accident it is very cheap to repair compared to most cars with steel, aluminum, or metal panels.

BONUSES:
Its a fun car

Very Reliable

You will be officialy going GREEN

If you want to mod it or personalize it there are lots of accesories and vendors who offer products that suit your needs.

Its great at attracting (You can find many ways to use it to your benifit as leverage)

Good resale value

and finaly being a smart owner and networking with other cool unique owners is priceless................ think 2 by a smart 42 2 day.

My reason for buying was economy - but I didn't save anything on my insurance. I hope with more of a history, the rates for this car will go down next year.

Sorry to hear that. I downsized from a Kia Rio, an saved over $300 a year. Maybe it is your insurance company. I use Progressive FYI

+1 Saved $300 over previous Honda Civic. I'm with Westfield Insurance.

Bought the car, now what?

Seriously, buying a house right now will do more for the US economy than buying a smart (although I'm glad we did.)

Plus if you buy a new car anywhere from February 14 2009 to December 31 2009 you can deduct the state tax and excise tax from your taxible income. This came about as part of the wonderous stimulus package signed into law by Obama. I found this so stimulating when I found out I could get free money.

Agreed there, I was with Virgina Farm Bureau, but saw my insurance was going to be 605.06 a year. Not too hateful, but add a $40.00 membership fee to the VA farm bureau group, and that adds up.
Did a re-visit to Progressive, 285.00 every six months, no extra fees, more afforable payment plans, and the exact same full coverage as my present plan, you do the math there.
I did have savings in mind when i got the Smart, and then to express my creative side at the same time. BTW Liberty Mutual wanted over 1000.00 a year when i checked them out. I would not go with them based on the expensive factor.

Opps if you buy a new car during that time period in 2009 you can deduct it from taxes.
