behind the turn signal bar...

So I was at the wonderful Coral Gables dealership on Thursday when one of the helpful servicemen pointed something out to me. There is a place for 'something' (possibly cruise control?) behind the turn signal bar towards the dash. I was looking at some pictures of the Brabus customs on their website and noticed that their vehicles have something in that spot. Does anyone know what that is? Are there any other applications for this?

Countermeasures: oil slick, smoke screen, machine gun... all kinds of thoughts come to mind.

Oh, sorry, Spy Hunter flashback.

That little dial wheel is for the vertical headlamp adjustment for load balancing that the Euro models have. IIRC, it is a TUV requirement for safety.

I just looked at a smart that was purchsed in Mexico, it had a the light balancing adjustment that mdfortwoguy was mentioning. I was hoping that it would be a space for cruise control. The car was a passion cab with the pure steering wheel and no paddle shifters. Oh it was a turbo, didnt get to drive it, he is coming back tomorrow I will try to get a ride.
