On "Deal Or No Deal", a rather large man was offered a new car. After the commercial break, out putted a blue/silver Smart, with the Banker's challenge that, if he could sit in the car and close the door, it was his. Of course, having test-driven a Smart, I already knew the answer: he would fit easily, which he did. Because only people who haven't sat in one say, "Oh, my, it's so small, how can anyone fit in there?!?" Now, whenever someone says that, I can say, "Did you see 'Deal Or No Deal'?"
I think as long as they get a seat belt extended they will fit! That guy didn't look that big, saw a guy about another 100lbs more in his but when he got out at baskin Robbins that car sat and leaned to left quite a bit without him in it. So it adapts to you thick bones structure.
When people ask me if there's much room I tell them that my 6'4 350+lb brother got in and drove it. The thing I don't tell them is that he started singing "Fat guy in a little car".

I love doing the "Fat man in little coat" skit.
Normally I just tell people I'm a muscular guy and what they see is muscles slathered in jelly. I'm not too big though, just around 200 is all .
Any time someone sees me exiting my Smart they are suprised, at 6'4 and 300+ they don't say much. Once the sit in a Smart car, they realize how much room there really is in there.
It is more comfortable than my wife's Mountaineer.

That pretty girl got in the passenger's seat with him and the way the seats are setup she didn't have any problems at all.
One day at Wally World I returned from shopping and found the car surrounded by 7 or 8 curious folks. Answered lots of questions - as usual - and then one lady asked if she could "try it on." I opened the door and she slide into the seat with no problem at all. She got out and commented about all the room.
There was a very tall guy standing there and I told him he'd fit, too. "What are you - 6' 5" ? ", I asked. Nope - he was 6' 7" ~! He slid behind the wheel and said that the steering wheel was too close to his knees.
Then I told him to slide the seat back further! (I'm 6' - 280#.) He did and the whole crowd was amazed! The guy actually fit without doing the pretzel thingy. Handed out some information cards, too. Nice experience. . .
