Black/white stops silver/silver

Yesterday afternoon at 12:32pm, I may have had the questionable 'honor' of getting the first moving violation ticket in a smart. Some local policeman thought I was driving at a high rate of speed and ran a left-turn arrow that had turned red.

So, if anyone asks you if a smart can keep up with traffic, the answer is, "@#$% yeah, and then some."

Of course, I deny all allegations. Details at 11.

Did you see red as you were signing the ticket? and, if so, was it a deep red or a tomato red?

When I drove my 65 stang on the streets two weeks before they were released the same thing happened. "High visibility" will do you in so become a hypo miler.

The hiper-miler would have also coasted through the turn rather than sit still at the light.

I got pulled over many times in one of the first MINIs in Texas ** always for "no front license plate" but in reality the cops just wanted to look over the car.

I always got a warning. Got pulled over again in the MINI in west Texas last fall for the same lack of a front plate. Another warning. Just don't like the front plate look. But it does give the cop a reason to pull you over.

I always had to bite my tongue before I said "you really just pulled me over to check out my car, didn't you!"

I had two cops follow me into my driveway so they could check out the car.
