Black/white stops silver/silver

In 1967 I was driving the only Toyota 2000gt in the US ( Approx. 6 months prior to release) on the Harbor Freeway, got stopped by a CHP (and ticketed for doing 66 in a 65mph zone. This stupid cop then wanted to see the car. Need I tell you what I told him to do with his query ?

I telephoned the judge a week before my court date and offered to show him the car. He took me up on my offer.

CASE DISMISSED !

Nice....what ever happened to that 2000gt? I love those cars. And you are the first person I've seen to beat my 70 in a 65 ticket.

We only brought in 60 2000gt's so as to qualify for 'Production' class racing.

We had problems, the shift pattern was condusive to a double downshift....Valve float at 8000rpm..... domed head.... valve clash..... smash piston head. Sayonara engine.

Remind me when we meet sometime and I'll tell you about beating a 100mph ticket on the 134 in a Mazda Cosmo

I had a cop waiving me down in traffic to ask about the car. I couldn't roll down the window because I just had the windows tinted so I opened the door at a stoplight to talk to him. As an interesting side note my windows are slightly darker than allowed. But he was happy to just talk.

Ya... I use to have all my windows tinted including the front in vegas but never had any problems.
