Body Panel "Swapping"

hey, did anyone think of this already? with all the 'orphans' out there AND people getting colors that their not completely happy with, how about a "Let's Swap Body Panels" site?

for example, someone with yellow would rather have another color, they could post their yellow panels and maybe someone that WANTS yellow will swap with them. not sure what the cost of these panels are, but i'm sure it would be alot less costly to pay only shipping to get what you want.....what do ya think?

I have offered up a silver for black trade here in the Northwest but its very hard to coordinate considering the time it takes and the swapping of the panels.

i would give it a little time. i think i heard that only 2,000 Smarts have been delivered in the entire US and not everyone of those will be on this forum.

word will get out eventually....but in the mean time just keep your car (or should i say 'panels') in excellent condition for their future owner!

are these still available? I'll be receiving my smart in about a month (its at port waiting for a ship) I have a reservation for 2 red SMARTS but am going to jump list and get black that someone has backed out from so now I'm getting a black and am looking for a trade for anything other then black...please PM as I am new to this forum and may not check as often (I'll get email alert)

I've read here about there being Panel Swap meets....where a group of people get together and swap out panels. That would be a fun day and a good excuse to get together.
