Bra for Smart

We are planning on towing our Smart behind our motorhome and are concerned about protecting our baby. Is there a bra- other than the clear bra? Has anyone found another solution?

I've heard of a 3M product...

Is anyone aware of companies that apply clear bras (what a concept!) to cars? I hear they are very good for chip protection and nearly invisible. Any insight would be aprpeciated!

If you're towing it behind your motor-home, a bra shouldn't be necessary as the motor-home would serve as a barrier to any road debris. Also, remember that the body panels on the Smart are plastic and are more resistant to chipping.

No towing for me, just road rocks and debris!

I own 4 cars and, except for the Passion Cabriolet, I equipped them all with clear bras. They really do protect against chipping. My Lexus GX470 will turn 4 years old this October and it still looks like new largely because the front end, head and fog lights, and side mirrors are protected. Do a Google search for "clear bras" in your area and that should take care locating installers for you.

I'm strongly considering getting the 'clear bra' for my next car. Check out Paint Protection for your vehicle. Also known as Invisible Bra. Welcome to InvisibleMask.com . They boast that their product is easy to install yourself and covers better than other brands for each specific car. They have models for Smart 451's.

Can you explain why it matters that the panels are plastic? Aren't they still painted with standard automotive paint and therefore subject to chipping? This is very important, as the 'clear bras' are not cheap!

Hmmm... Thanks all!

OK, so my panels are black, so no paint to chip, although I'm sure the plastic could. Have to weigh the cost of the clear bra vs replacing a whole panel. Would appear the service panel is a wash, have to think about the rest of the front and I know the headlamp pods are expensive if they compare to other cars I've had!
