Brabus rear Cargo area Ambient lighting.. Who has it?

Hi folks. I know there are several different ways to light up the back. But I just saw on a website that Brabus sells a rear http://shop.flyingtiger.ca/index.php...arch_str=&pg=4 ambient light kit that connects to the smarts harness. But there is no picture of it. Does anyone have this? and by this I mean the Brabus rear ambient kit for the 451? If it's plug and Play i might do this instead of drilling into anything.. If it looks sharp of course!

The price is $125 Canadian; on sale. It is a shame they do not have a photo of the Brambus rear ambient light.
$125 Canadian is $106 USDollars.

Ambient lighting package that includes illuminated driver and passenger side foot wells and automatic on/off capabilities

Seems to be for the footwells not the rear unless I am wrong.

After visiting the flyingtiger.ca website it clearly differentiates between ambient lighting front and ambient lighting rear. Current price for the rear is $125.33 canadian. My question is, "Will it work on the Cabrio?"

I have it in my Brabus, both wells in the front and the rear hatch. The rear one is LED and just lights up the rear nicely. I believe the two foot wells are LED as well but I have not pooked around. The light is quite bright and in my opinion worth it.

The rear LED will NOT work in the cabro but, having said that, nothing is impossible.

BTW, Fast Eddy has done work on my car and I highly recommend him.

I would be surprised if it did, since most of the lighting solutions for the trunk that I've seen have involved putting it into the roof, which is not an option in the cabrio. I actually did a custom mod to my cabrio to put lights in, and it looks and works well. Check out my posts in that thread for info and pic.

Also consider "Puddle Light".

Performance: shop.flyingtiger.ca

I have the footwell ambient light kit, and it really looks cool, has some usefulness and promotes easier nighttime driving, but to have it in the tiny cargo area...what is the point? The seatbacks are so high, its hard to even look back there while driving (especially at night). Would it be used as a courtesy light to find stuff while outside the car?

Holy Zombie threads.

Clearly it's so you can get stuff from the trunk while driving so you can practice juggling while driving!

Of course it's for while you're outside the car. I wired mine to turn on when the trunk is open. The trunk area is pretty dark, even with the back open. And those tall seats cast a huge shadow into the trunk, even if the map light is on. Try finding a black tool kit, lying on a dark blanket, at night, in a smart trunk. It's not easy without some light in there, and the map light just doesn't cut it with the seats in the way.
