Thanks! The 400 in my opinion should not count because you couldn't get the Brabus in 08, so your hands were tied. If they wanted that they should have asked when we configured!

I agree. SJ thought they were doing me a favor and I didn't bite. They told me that only their guys drove the car, but told a friend that they used it to test drive. So, I figured I could wait a few more months.

I pointed out the discrepency between the configuration I had, with N/C for silver tridion and panels and they ate it!!! They personally took it off the price of the car. Now, this is what I call customer service. They also threw in a free set of Brabus floor mats.

Here is why smart should remove the 400.00 extra from the silver/silver brabus:
1. They were not available in 2008.
2. The config said N/C for both items (and the upholstery) so it is bait and switch to charge for it.
3. The Brabus ONLY comes in Black and silver and for the mark up for the Brabus, you should get it with the package.

The Barbus logo floor mats are part of the package. They should have thrown them in for "free".

seems to me if everyone is so anti the "pseudo" brabus, then why would you want the "real" turbo version? It is so much cheaper to buy the after market turbo kit and put it on a regular smart (or a brabus for that matter!) and more power! 30k for a smart would not be worth it unless it was a smartzuki.

But yeah i had to call them about the power steering too.. that would have been a deal breaker. Knew about the paint. That is with any/all smarts. I think it is dumb to charge for metallic, but they will get the money where ever they can.

while I agree about the extra charges not being justified, the difference with silver is it is painted on. True the black is also painted on the trident, but more are painted black than silver. It costs the co. extra to switch from black to silver in the production process. JMHO
