Brake pad wear

Just took a fast look at my brake pads which are showing 1/4" remaining. "08, 72000, all highway. Should I be looking at replacement, or am I good for awhile?]

Garage
2 mm is typically the minimum spec. A quarter inch is a little over 6 mm. You should be good for another 72K.

"less than or equal to 2 mm without backing plate", or "<= 7.7 mm with backing plate".

If I'm lazy I wait until the screeching from the wear indicator, which activates at "approx 7.7 mm".
