brief retrospec

now that i've finially taken ownership (and there were a number of doubts that this would happen over time), i reflect a bit on how i got here, er there, um somewhere?

ah yes, it was that wii commercial!

i remember sitting (reclining) on the couch when this ittybitty thing appeared among something to do with video games. I actually sat up, walked over to the computer, and began to google...

not long after, there were newspaper and magizine stories of course...

as far as i'm concerned though, the tv commercial was for the car, not this thing called a wii

My wife was born in France. She grew up in cars from europe and wanted a 2CV after we got married. Never found one but when we found that the Smart was coming we signed up. I had seen the car in movies and TV (Dark Angel) and told here we'd get when if they aver brought them here.....

All the time I get kids saying, "LOOK!!! It's the Wii CAR!!!" Oddly enough I already had a state issued plate the reads WEE - I transferred it to my Smart.

We've been waiting years to get one as the wife saw one somewhere, maybe one of my car magazines and it was the ONLY car she has EVER said, "Go buy one" (I've had over 100 cars). Would of been a Day 1 reservationist but I was leery getting a early model first year car so I held out a few months before reserving. I couldn't take it anymore and went the orphan route - still getting the reserved car.
